More Than 800 Immigrants Mistakenly Granted Citizenship
More than 800 immigrants mistakenly granted citizenship by Alicia A. Caldwell
For some reason we give anybody in the Federal Gov't a free pass on either being incompetent or blatantly subversive. And in this case it should be called subversive. You can't get out of a traffic ticket for ignorance or stupidity, but when it comes to criminal negligence at the Federal level it's simply an oops, my bad.
It's not the National Guard who protects us while we sleep, but run-o-the-mill government bureaucrats obviously with no sense of responsibility or ownership to the oath of office which they swore. The prevalent adage is that once a gov't employee you simply cannot be fired. This SNAFU defines what asleep at the wheel really is. We depend on these feckless people to protect us. No other profession enjoys such protection from undermining the safety and security of our Nation than a Federal employee.
We must expect our gov't to correct the flaws, inconsistencies and inefficiencies in the workplace. That means confronting slackers, saboteurs and rule-breakers. I understand the ideology to fix the problem not the blame, however, rules abound regarding pathways to proper citizenship. This is not about the rules or guidelines being broken, but sabotage.
