Despite what you may discuss at dinner, these freaks have 8 hours a day and five days a week to influence your children in complete isolation. Because educators in California know, that if they allow such a subtle thing as the CSA flag to be introduced into class, in the context of a more balanced history lesson, then young minds may put two and two together that generates discussion.
Clearly the Teachers Union is okay with this. Two other things come to mind: age discrimination and cultural bias. You can't tell me that PhD school principals don't know what they are doing in this and other cases of coercive persuasion, mind abuse, thought control, or thought reform. If they are not, then how did they qualify for a doctorate.
In the late 1950s, psychologist Robert Jay Lifton studied former prisoners of Korean War (ironically the "forgotten" war) and Chinese war camps. He determined that they underwent a multi-step process beginning with attacks on the prisoner's sense of self and ended with what appeared to be a change in beliefs. Lifton ultimately defined a set of steps involved in the brainwashing cases he studied: -Assault on identity -Guilt -Self-betrayal -Breaking point - Leniency -Compulsion to confess -Channeling of guilt -Releasing of guilt - Progress and harmony - Final confession and rebirth Each of these stages takes place in an environment of isolation, meaning all "normal" social reference points are unavailable, and mind-clouding techniques are typically part of the process, which adds to the child's difficulty in thinking critically and independently. The term "brainwashing" came into common language through the work of American journalist Edward Hunter. Socialists used these techniques without any questioning or check.
There are many mechanisms used by both Marxists and progressives alike. Most are illegal; hence, the FCC monitors advertisers for such techniques. However, grade school educators are given no checks.
Some you'll recognize like peer group pressure: suppressing doubt and resistance to new ideas by exploiting the need to belong.
Some are as subtle as this story noted above by the rejection of old values accelerating acceptance of a new lifestyle by constantly denouncing former beliefs and values. Another technique is by confusing doctrine or proven doctrine by encouraging blind acceptance and rejection of logic through complex lectures on an incomprehensible doctrine. Redirecting the truth about history teachers engage in finger pointing creating a false sense of righteousness by pointing to the shortcomings of the outside world, the past, or by race. Noticeable from social media and the MSM is metacommunications by implanting subliminal messages stressing certain key words or phrases in long, confusing lectures. Our schools and government are rife with uncompromising rules inducing regression and disorientation by soliciting agreement to seemingly simple rules which regulate mealtimes, bathroom breaks and the use of medications. Now progressives are attacking sugar. You can see it at pep rallies or even at political gatherings that chanting or singing eliminates non-cult ideas through group repetition of mind-narrowing chants or phrases. Just ask your children how they are expected to learn concepts in school through these repetitive techniques. The further removal of privacy like bathrooms, locker rooms, &c achieving loss of ability to evaluate logically by preventing private contemplation. We've all been subject to verbal abuse which is quite evident in the post election hysteria desensitizing through the barrage of foul and abusive language, which is no different than torture. Similar and sometimes innocuous are enacting dress codes by removing individuality, demanding conformity to the group code. Together with this is disinhibition which encourages child-like obedience by orchestrating child-like behavior. Despite confession being good for the soul under competent auspices in school it encourages the destruction of individual ego through confession of personal weaknesses and innermost feelings of doubt. by focusing on past sins or our fore-bearers progressive pedagogue can add guilt into the equation. These techniques are further buffeted by asking a financial commitment not just from the taxed, but from the individual student achieving increased dependence on the group by 'burning bridges' to the past, through the donation of assets. The classroom provides an isolation inducing loss of reality by physical separation from family, friends, society and rational references.
Through the issue of so called approved education curricula or better defined as controlled approval maintains vulnerability and confusion by alternately rewarding and punishing similar actions. Certain sports and activities outside children's imagination are further structures by official games inducing dependence on the group introducing games with obscure rules, no path to winning, let alone allocating placement of a winner or winners. And teachers no longer use the Socratic method of instruction because they don't allow questions accomplishing automatic acceptance of beliefs by discouraging questions. This allows them to instill guilt, better than your Catholic or Jewish mother ever envisions by reinforcing the need for 'salvation' by exaggerating the sins of the former lifestyles, in history, or previous government administrations. Children are induced to these methods through levels of fear maintaining loyalty and obedience to the group by threatening grades, public humiliation or expulsion for the slightest 'negative' thought, word or deed. This despite the level of bullying going on among our youth. Three Principles of Re-Education emerge through progressive education in our schools. Firstly, repetition is going through the same subject over and over again until it is known by heart and the excuse is that students are not comprehending the level of instruction. Great disguise. Secondly, activities by pedagogics are masked in the discussion of social issues; subjects are never left alone nor given any private time of their own, they are always in activity. Students don't devote nearly enough time to either science or math. Thirdly progressives engage in criticism and self-criticism exercise of subjects so the students are supposed to feel uncertain; under the constant threat of being humiliated and despised. In the Korean War the "criticism and self-criticism" sessions held for the American prisoners of war by the Chinese clearly had deeper effects than the POWs could initially comprehend, and when they found out, it was too late. In the beginning many prisoners found this whole procedure just childish, and were inclined to take it merely as something of a joke, but without them being able to realize it, the situation of being subjected constantly to the criticism of one's comrades became humiliating. That a grown-up person should publicly discuss one's habits or inclinations -- some of them of very private nature -- confess one's faults, receive strong criticism for insignificant misdemeanors, will not be indeed in the course of time anything to be considered childish or playful: it simply will be experienced as insulting. This continuing feeling of humiliation became crucial in the gradual psychological break-up of the prisoners' personalities. Furthermore, this ongoing process of "criticism and self-criticism" was bound to cause mistrust for one's own comrades: it was the tactics of "divide and conquer" as the ancient Romans would have called it. ("Criticism and self-criticism" were also widely applied during China's "Cultural Revolution" starting in 1966, as a method of "re-education".)
