Breaking the law

So Dallas has the gall to go into bankruptcy for squandering tax payer dollars and is now willing to enter an environment of wanton disregard for the law. http://dfw.cbslocal.com/2017/02/08/lt-governor-blasts-dallas-county-resolution-welcoming-undocumented-immigrants/ If one law is broken then others will simply fall by the weigh side. The a la carte behavior of our elected officials is more than disconcerting. By these acts for offering "sanctuary" equates to lying and cheating on your oath of office; hence, the citizens who voted for you. Their campaign and promise to uphold the laws of this State and nation turn out to be a lie. Where government employees and elected officials are clearly allowed to break the law, no matter what that law might be. As "leaders" then how can citizens be compelled to follow any laws? This is a basic ethical dilemma not exclusively on the virtue and concern for self-interest. It is dismissing public safety, assuring that the rule of law is carried forth, and that a breach in ethics is always a breach in law.
